Geekstravganza 2007

On October 21, "Geekstravaganza 2007" will not only benefit The Austin Browncoats, but proceeds will also go to Heart House Austin. Because the Browncoats have been brought together by their love of "Firefly," we are putting on a night of science-fiction fun and fundraising. Not only will the nation's premiere Firefly-related band, The Bedlam Bards be performing, but we will also have an All- Geek Talent Show, an All-Nerd Costume Contest and an all Sci-Fi Trivia Bee. It should be a night to remember for both the attendees and the charities it benefits.

Tickets are $15.

All contests are open to the public, but you must sign up for the talent show beforehand. All acts must be under 7 minutes and be somehow nerd-related. To sign up for the Talent Show, email
