Ms. Mo is 1...and is going to be a big sister!

Ms. Mo turned a year old this Friday, and I also got a positive pregnancy test that morning! Yay, we're going to have a new one next summer! The kiddos will be only 20/21 months apart, so look for some interesting times coming up.

I'm tired. I'm going to bed. Having lunch with T and the boys tomorrow, and maybe M and her DD. It will be fun, but probably hectic. What is Ms. Mo going to wear? What am I going to wear?

Yay...two days in a row of posts! My friend D's daughter K is running a 104 degree temp today, so I hope Ms. Mo doesn't come down with something next week. I'm taking Ms. Mo to the dentist tomorrow for her first visit, so I hope that goes well too. I bought her Halloween costume today, and she will be absolutely adorable!

I can't believe my baby girl will be a year old this month. Where has the year gone? Oh yeah...let's see. A newborn, writing 150 pages of a thesis that OH MY GOD was a pain in the ass, and that was pretty much it. Dealing with a cat who won't poop in the litter box, seeing massive amounts of green and blue stuff grow on the unwashed dishes in the sink, and having to deal with poopy cloth diapers...it's amazing the Health Department hasn't condemned my house yet. It's not all that bad, but I seriously need to get off my duff and get my priorities in line.

BTW...graduation...

I did it! I did finally graduate with my master's. Now if the post office would deliver my diploma, it'll be officially official. :)
Geekstravganza 2007

On October 21, "Geekstravaganza 2007" will not only benefit The Austin Browncoats, but proceeds will also go to Heart House Austin. Not only will the nation's premiere Firefly-related band, The Bedlam Bards be performing, but we will also have an All- Geek Talent Show, an All-Nerd Costume Contest and an all Sci-Fi Trivia Bee. It should be a night to remember for both the attendees and the charities it benefits.

workin' on my thesis

Yay, I'm finally working on it. Not that I'm getting it done, but I'm at least working on it. I still don't know if I can get it done in order to graduate this spring. I've already missed the deadline (it was last Friday), and I've only gotten half of it done. We'll see if I can kick ass or if I just need to resign myself to paying another $1000 to graduate in August.

I got this quiz from my friend Antignome's blog, and boy was I a dork/geek/nerd in high school. What's even sadder is the fact that I can remember this stuff even after having given birth. Here's the proof:
You paid attention during 100% of high school!

85-100% You must be an autodidact, because American high schools don't get scores that high! Good show, old chap!

Do you deserve your high school diploma?

For the 2 or 3 of you who have actually seen this blog before now, you'll notice that all my old posts are gone. There are two reasons for this: 1) My life has changed so much now that I'm a mom the old stuff just didn't seem apropo anymore and 2) I want to let my mom read this, and I had to clean up the language. :) Hi Mom.

So, here is the new and improved "bowlwoman's blahg". Please note that I have my period on the OUTSIDE of the quotation marks because even though proper American English grammar dictates the period should be inside the quotes, it makes more sense (and is proper British English grammar) to have the period outside the quotes. So there, McWilliams!
